• Statutory Inspection of Electrical Installations in respect of RIO(North East) and grant of approval for energisation under Rules 47A & 63 of I.E. rules, 1956
• Statutory Periodical Inspection of EHV, HV and MV Electrical Installations in respect of RIO (North East) under Rule 46 of I.E. Rules, 1956.
• Investigation of fatal and non-fatal electrical accidents.

Purpose:

To carry out inspection of electrical installations of Power utilities/consumers keeping in view safety requirements and protection provided and issue approval for energisation of the equipment under I.E. Rules, 1956.

Scope:

All electrical installations under Central Govt./CPSUS (Except Railways, Defence, P&T and Mines) in the states of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland and all installations in States of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram
